Bittersweet Farm Daylilies

Bittersweet Farm is located a few miles south of the small college town of Granville, Ohio. Granville is home to Denison University, where Ann spent her career as a writer, poet and professor of creative writing and literature. Since 2005 we have grown and hybridized northern hardy daylilies on our ten acres here in Granville, Ohio. We grow hundreds of named varieties, as well as thousands of one-of-a-kind seedlings and our own daylily introductions. We maintain extensive perennial borders filled with daylilies as well as unusual shrubs, trees, perennials and Ohio native plants. Our pond hosts a number of friendly koi, bluegill and bass, and our ravine, woods and creek are home to deer, foxes, coyotes, bobcats and other smaller creatures, including an astonishing range of bird life. We are open to the general public by appointment during the daylily peak season, roughly from late June to early August. Write to us at ann@anntownsend.com; we’d love to hear from you. If you are interested in purchasing any of our daylily introductions, please email to inquire about availability before sending payment, as supplies are very limited. Shipping is $12 for the first plant, $3 for each additional. We do occasionally sell seedlings to visitors as well. I accept checks payable to Ann Townsend, as well as Venmo and PayPal. All of our daylilies are grown in the ground, without artificial means of propagation or protection, so you know you’re getting true northern hardy daylilies. We stand behind everything we grow, and hope that you get as much pleasure from our daylilies as we do. All photos belong to Bittersweet Farm and were taken in our garden.
