DAY’S END (Townsend-A. 2026)
A vibrant orange-red with an orange-red halo and apricot watermark. This early-mid season beauty exhibits 7-inch blooms on sturdy 40-inch scapes, with 4-way branching and 22-24 buds. Bold ribs radiate from the yellow throat; petals and sepals display a thin apricot edge. Showy as a clump. An early morning opener. Named for a poem by the same title in my first book of poetry, Dime Store Erotics. Out of DEAR DELINQUENT X WISPY RAYS. Pod and pollen fertile. SEV, TET. $125 DF
